Buffalo’s downtown revival continued as IBM was confirmed as an anchor tenant for the new proposed hi-tec hub in downtown Buffalo, bringing an estimated 500 new high skilled jobs to the city. This comes after recent unemployment figures plunged to a 6 year low of 5.8%, well below the national average.
All in all, jobs growth, especially in highly skilled sectors like IT, and low unemployment contribute to better tenant quality and gentrification in cheaper neighborhoods.
